Our flight was canceled, so we spent the night in Buffalo. It was late and was so glad they had a resy available to accommodate us. Even though it was late, it was still fully packed, so you know it's a great spot. Ordered the 8oz filet with the grilled tiger shrimp combo, and crab crusted salmon and asparagus. The filet was perfectly cooked medium rare and so tender, one of the best I've had ever, just melted in your mouth! Salmon was also good, Service was also on point and was a great experience overall. Def come check it out!

We went to Giancarlo’s for my girlfriend’s birthday, and let me say this loud and proud: if heaven serves steak skewers and salmon, then I’ve seen the light — and it’s medium rare with a side of house-made crudo. Let’s break it down like it’s film study. We kicked things off with oysters and crudo, which hit the table looking so good I briefly questioned if I should propose to the appetizer instead. The crudo was so fresh it probably had a gym membership and voted in the last election. The oysters? Briny, icy, and classy — unlike the table next to us, which we’ll get to. Spoiler alert: they made more noise than a 2007 dorm room microwave. Now the steak skewers… oh baby. These things were so tender I considered writing them into my will. Seared perfectly, juicy, and served like they knew they were the MVPs of the night. The salmon? Crispy skin, buttery center, and such flavor balance I’m convinced the chef made a pact with Poseidon himself. Honestly, if Marcus Freeman weren’t coaching the 2025 Notre Dame football team, he’d be working the floor at Giancarlo’s — gliding between tables, flashing that “yes I do moisturize” smile, and delivering house specialties like he’s calling a perfectly timed RPO. And yeah, he’s a beautiful man — but let’s be absolutely clear: **not more beautiful than my girlfriend**, who looked so stunning that the candles flickered in awe. The vibe? Immaculate. Dim lighting, soft jazz, enough elegance to make you want to pronounce “bruschetta” correctly. BUT. There was one downfall — **the table next to us**. Picture a bachelorette party meeting a car alarm. I haven’t heard that much screeching since Brian Kelly tried to fake a Southern accent. They were so unbearable that if Jeremiah Love had been there, he would’ve **hurdled the entire table** in slow motion, landed gracefully, and casually taken a bite of crudo mid-air. And the entire restaurant would’ve applauded. In conclusion: Giancarlo’s is Notre Dame football in restaurant form — bold, refined, a little flashy, and built for greatness. Lou Holtz would weep into his linguine. And so did I, but it was mostly the wine. **Rating: 5/5 steak skewers. Would dine again, would bring earplugs.** Go Irish. Stay Sicilian.

Love this place. Food and service is amazing! We had short rib and veal- both amazing! Note: if ordering veal it’s a very generous portion. Jeff served us, was great, knowledgeable and super friendly! We always look forward to coming and trying something different on the menu. Highly recommend! Make sure to make reservations.

Giancarlo’s is the epitome of fine dining. The atmosphere is dark and mysterious, but also somehow romantic at the same time. The service was impeccable. Our waiter, Hunter, knew exactly what I was thinking just by eye contact; yes, really. I chose the steak and lobster entree with mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was to die for. The demi glaze on the steak was borderline drinkable. The mashed potatoes were smooth and comforting. The lobster was delicious, and the filet was a perfect medium. If you want a drink, I definitely recommend the G Fizz.

I’ve been a loyal customer of this restaurant for a long time, and I must say, I’m quite disappointed with the recent changes to the menu. The steak skewers and pizza, which were my favorites, have been removed. The pizza was still good for the kids, but the size has significantly decreased. I also used to love the caramelized onions and mushrooms as a side dish, but they’ve been taken off the menu as well. I hope they’ll bring some of these items back soon. Despite these changes, the restaurant remains a great place to eat, and I still enjoy coming here.

"G" Steakhouse is truly an excellent restaurant. Celebrating a birthday with friends, each of the courses had their designated pairing of wines. Out of the 5 wines, only one was just ok, the others choices were superb. Why we picked a night that the Bills were playing, we didn't check. But if you can imagine 4 cell phones propped up at a fine dining restaurant, all tuned into the game, yes, that's what we did. Savanna was our server and we were given a small card, with brief history about our server. Made the experience slightly more personal...

I'm a corporate event planner who works with venues nationwide to plan private dinner events. My experience working with Hannah during the planning process was effortless. She's quick, efficient, and offers a creative feedback throughout the process. The bartender (Kyle) and servers (Mitch and Sara) who assisted with the event were also outstanding! The bartender paid such close attention to detail that he was stepping inside the cocktail to shake martinis so not to deserve the speaker at our event. 100% impressed across the board. If you're event planner, plan ALL of your local events here! If you're not, go here anyway! The food was fantastic too!
